2026 Board of Directors
We are all volunteers and do this because we love the mission and the veterans
Jim Sheridan (President) - The son of a WWII Navy veteran, Jim's parents were missionaries in Alaska where he was born, but he was raised on a farm in Illinois. Having enlisted in both the Navy and Army, Jim served 28 years before retiring. He's also worked in law enforcement and firefighting. Seeing the need to help veterans, he got involved with several military non-profits and joined the Board in 2022. He took over the role of president in 2026.
Roger Bishop (Vice President of Administration) - A retired Air Force officer whose assignments took him to the front offices of CIA, ODNI and other intelligence agencies, as well various space and missile assignments. First serving as a guardian on Flight 17, Roger utilizes his project management skills as part of the Flight planning team as well as being the IT support and media coordinator. In his spare time he is an assistant scuba instructor. He and his family enjoy scuba diving, snow skiing, and other outdoor activities. He joined the Board in 2024 and took on his current role in 2026.
Oscar Vaughn (Vice President) - Oscar is a retired Air Force officer with over 40 years of professional expertise in the public and private sectors. He provides strategic consulting, executive coaching, and program development for non-profit and for‑profit leaders. Oscar has led major initiatives with various veteran focused groups and joined the Board in 2021 and as vice president in 2026.
Tammy Baugh (Treasurer) - A Wisconsin native, Tammy transitioned to Colorado after serving 26 years in the Army. It is because of her uncle's overwhelming positive experience with Old Glory Honor Flight of Wisconsin that Tammy found her way to Honor Flight of Southern Colorado. She has volunteered since 2023 and joined the Board in 2024, becoming treasurer in early 2025.
Barbara Harris (Secretary) - The daughter of a World War II Navy veteran and the widow of a Korean War Navy veteran, she has lived in Colorado Springs since 1978 and serves on the boards of several non-profit organizations. She joined the Board in 2019 and has been secretary since 2026.
Amy Bauer - Raised as an Army brat and the wife of an Air Force veteran, Amy brings a lifelong appreciation for military service to her work with Honor Flight. She is a strategic Human Resources leader with more than 20 years of experience driving technology transformation. After serving as a guardian on Flight 20, she became an active volunteer and joined the Board in 2026. Amy applies her project management and HR expertise to support operational effectiveness while staying deeply connected to the mission of honoring our veterans.
Eileen Cox - The proud daughter of a 23 year Air Force veteran, Eileen served as a civil servant for the Department of Defense for 34 years. In her spare time she enjoys the military time-honored traditions and listening to stories of "times gone by" from our many veterans. She joined the Board in 2026
Jim Davis - After serving 22 years in the Air Force Jim went on to work in the defense industry and realized more needed to be done for our veterans. A veteran on Flight 17, Jim realized he needed to do more to help. A volunteer since the Flight, Jim joined the Board in 2026.
Christina Di Flauro - Coming from a proud family of Korea and Vietnam veterans, she herself served 24 years in the Army. Being a guardian on Flight #17, her support and dedication to veterans is unwavering. She joined the Board in 2026.
Michelle McArthur - Originally from the UK, Michelle and her family have lived in Colorado Springs for nearly 24 years. A past treasurer, Michelle has been on the Board since 2021 and loves being part of Honor Flight. She joined the Board in 2021.
Brian Murphy - A Navy corpsmen from 1987-1993, Brian served in support of Desert Shield and Desert Storm. With a passion for working with veterans and helping them transition to civilian life, he continues to work closely with veterans to create healing, purpose, and closure through his current position as a social worker with the VA in Colorado Springs. Brian joined the Board in 2022.
Dave Rettenmaier - Dave first got involved with Honor Flight as a guardian on Flight 21. He is a strategic leader and a proven goal setter with a demonstrated ability to make difficult and relevant decisions. In his professional life he has dramatically improved employee and customer satisfaction across regional as well as national platforms. Dave joined the Board in 2026.
Doug Robertson - A retired Air Force veteran with 23 years of service, Doug served as a helicopter pilot in various rescue and security missions. Currently, Doug applies his expertise as a Complicated and Operational Risk Testing Analyst for a major corporation. Married to his wife Kelly, he is the proud dad of two daughters, Sophie and Emma. He joined the Board in 2026.
Stacy Tone (Medical Officer) - Her journey with Honor Flight began during Mission 16 where she served as the mission nurse and in 2025 was honored to join the Board as Co-Medical Officer, where she helps shape policies and procedures that continually strengthen veteran safety. With each mission, the medical team collaborates to learn, grow, and implement best practices that ensure exceptional care for our veterans. Stacy proudly serves as the voice and face behind our social media, sharing our mission, impact, and heartfelt stories with the community and feels it is truly an honor to serve our nation’s heroes.
Ken Wasoba - A Vietnam combat vet, Ken served with the 3/187th Infantry, 101st Airborne, 1970-71. He retired as President and CEO of Jr Achievement of Southern Colorado. He has 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson. A veteran on Flight 17, Ken joined the Board in 2025.
Ali Wheeler - Ali first got involved with Honor Flight as a volunteer and has since been on Flights 18 & 21. She joined the Board in 2025.
